Huygen is an engineering and consultancy firm specialized in technical building installations and building physics (installation advice). We want to contribute to a sustainable, better and safe living and working environment for everyone. We do this by realizing projects that our children and grandchildren can be proud of later on.

Our activities focus on engineering and consultancy services (installation consultancy). In addition, we conduct research through sister company Quake and we make people think with innovations such as WorkrooM.
Because of our connection with Oosterhoff, we are part of a group of like-minded consultancy firms. This has helped us to take integration one step further because we have colleagues who master almost all professional disciplines in the construction industry and are at the forefront of this.

Peter op ‘t Veld studied Building Technology at the Technical University of Eindhoven the Netherlands and graduated in
physical aspects of the built environment. His key qualifications are consulting and applied scientific research on renewable energy, indoor air quality, ventilation, building physics, acoustics, dissemination of knowledge and building regulations.
Peter Op ´t Veld is an experienced coordinator of several European projects, including EC FP5 RESHYVENT, the minewater project Heerlen, MORE-CONNECT, MOBISTYLE and TripleA-reno. He is also a visiting professor at Hasselt University, faculty of Architecture of Arts, building services and building physics.

Maria Sara Di Maggio finished her Master degree in Building engineering and Architecture in Italy and then obtained a master in Sustainable building engineering at University of Greenwich, in the UK in 2015. She has more than 5 years experience in the building physics, energy design and sustainability disciplines nurtured by working in the UK in energy sector and in the Netherlands as engineer in a multidisciplinary consulting company. Designing human centered spaces is a subject that always been at the core of her passions. She is actively involved in INFINITE and REMODULEES projects.

I am an all-round marketer with experience in marketing strategy and graphic design. I think it is important that substantively strong concepts are also strongly marketed, both in the field of marketing and visually. Experience in setting up marketing strategies for various (subsidiary) companies and products. In addition, I have been involved in the external communication of mergers and other organizational changes. Experience with communications for other EU projects such as NRG2peers and Save the Homes. Responsible for workpackage 7 (communication) of BuildUPspeed and therefore responsible for designing the visual identity, as well as maintaining (online) channels (website, social media) and (offline and online) publication materials.
