Online Final Conference brings together European stakeholders to close a three-year project on industrialised deep renovation
On Monday 22 June 2026, the BuildUPspeed consortium held its Final Conference online via Microsoft Teams, marking the conclusion of the project’s work to accelerate industrialised deep renovation across Europe.
Held in English from 9:30 to 12:30 CEST, the event opened with remarks from the European Commission’s DG ENER and DG GROW, followed by sessions presenting BuildUPspeed’s consolidated results and the fundamentals of industrialised renovation. Participants saw a live demonstration of the Market Activation Platform (MAP) and learned about the Local Pop-up Factory concept, before hearing lightning presentations from the project’s five pilot ecosystems in Austria, Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands. Closing sessions addressed the project’s policy recommendations (D6.3) for EU and national legislators, complemented by an invited contribution from ICLEI Europe on scaling renovation in municipalities.
The conference gathered 57 registered participants from organisations including the European Commission, the Joint Research Centre, Housing Europe, UIPI and project partners across Europe. Recordings and all project resources, including the MAP, deliverables and training materials, are now available on the project website and YouTube channel.
The BuildUPspeed project has received funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union under Grant Agreement no. 101075843.
