CM8 | Vienna reaching the end of the project

Last week, the BuildUPspeed consortium gathered in Vienna for our 8th project meeting โ€” a full day of technical workshops, strategic discussions and collaborative work across four key areas. Here’s what we covered:

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Market Activation Platform (MAP)
The platform is taking shape as a one-stop hub for renovation professionals, featuring:

โ†’ A catalogue of experts, industrialised solutions and success stories
โ†’ A feasibility verification tool to assess solution applicability to specific projects
โ†’ A connection space linking local and European renovation initiatives

๐Ÿ“Š Ecosystem Performance Monitoring (WP5)
A template was presented covering general building data, renovation type, key indicators and baseline comparisons โ€” with adaptations planned for projects using circular strategies.

๐Ÿ“‹ Policy Recommendations

โ†’ Harmonisation of standards for industrialised renovation solutions
โ†’ Financial support mechanisms for Pop-up Factories
โ†’ Integration of the MAP into national advisory services
โ†’ Capacity building and EU-level knowledge coordination

Country-specific recommendations were also shared for the five national ecosystems:

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น Austria ยท ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท France ยท ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Italy ยท ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Netherlands ยท ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Spain

๐Ÿญ Pop-up Factory

Pilot progress across ecosystems and mapped how Pop-up Factory outputs feed into the MAP and policy recommendations ahead of project closure.

๐ŸŽ“ KER
A working group session on how to pitch the project’s Key Enabling Results โ€” a crucial communication exercise as BuildUPspeed enters its final dissemination phase.

We are already planning the BuildUPspeed final event. Stay tuned for more details!

A great day of collaboration in Vienna. Many thanks to all partners and to our Project Officer Luca Angelino for the valuable feedback.
